Admin Roles

Last updated: January 14, 2026

Onyx has 4 administrative roles you can give a user:

  • Agency Admin

    • Agency Admin has full control over everything in Onyx

  • Sales Manager - generally they can see EVERYTHING in the system, but can't create new accounts or edit anything related to call routing.

    • A Sales Manager can see analytics and reporting.

    • They cannot create new user accounts, but can edit several things related to an agent (such as call caps, licensure changes, or level overrides)

    • They can see ALL people, policies, tasks, pipeline, etc.

  • Team Lead

    • A team lead is a special case of a Sales Manager. When they are assigned as the 'leader' of a team they can see all data and information for their team, but no one else. If they're NOT a leader of a team, they can't see anything other than themselves.

  • Compliance Manager

    • They can see all things related to licensing and compliance, and create / edit tasks and followups for agents.

If you have a player / coach role for a sales manager and they sell as well as manage their team, make sure you give them an agent role as well. (they will need to switch into this role to take / place calls).
